In 2013, the Presidency of the National Scientific Students’ Associations Council (OTDT) established the “Excellent TDK Organizer Award” to recognize staff members who coordinate Scientific Student Association activities at universities and their faculties. The award is granted annually by the OTDT Presidency through a secret ballot, with the stipulation that in the OTDK year and the following year, the total number of awards given does not exceed 50.

The Excellent TDK Organizer Award can be received by institutional or faculty TDT presidents, secretaries, coordinators, OTDK organizers, as well as staff members working with OTDT and OTDK supporters or OTDT partner organizations, who demonstrate outstanding organizational and supportive work at the local and/or national level.

Since the award’s inception, only one other colleague from BME has received this recognition before Mátyás Bartalis and Levente Bajczi (MIT).

The award ceremony took place in the Lecture Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), with the awards presented by Tamás Freund (President of the MTA) and László Mátyus (President of OTDT).
