Gyula Sallai Receives the Pollák–Virág Award

The Scientific Association for Infocommunications and Information Technology established the Pollák–Virág Award in memory of Antal Pollák and József Virág, pioneering figures of Hungarian telecommunications engineering. The purpose of the award is to enhance the professional and scientific quality of the Association’s journal and to promote the development of Hungarian technical literature in telecommunications, broadcasting, informatics, electronics, and content management.

Criteria for Awarding the Prize:

  • The Pollák–Virág Award may be granted to any Hungarian or foreign citizen whose work has been published in the Association’s journal, or who has contributed as a guest editor to the high-quality realization of a specific issue.
  • The award is presented on the basis of an outstanding publication. Preference may be given to articles that contribute to solving the scientific and technical challenges of a given period.
  • The award may also be granted to works not based on independent research if they significantly support professional continuing education.

Gyula Sallai received the Pollák–Virág Award for editing the special commemorative issue of Híradástechnika titled “HTE 75 – Infocommunication Visions.” We warmly congratulate him and wish him continued success in his work.
