Our department colleague, Bence Ladóczki, received the Best Paper Award at the 7th International Conference on Blockchain Computing and Applications, held in Dubrovnik in October 2025. Bence presented on machine learning (artificial intelligence) and blockchain. His paper is titled: Predictions in MEV-Boost Auctions with Machine Learning.
Nagy Ábel, János Tapolcai, Bence Ladóczki, and István András Seres received the CCS 2025 Distinguished Paper Award for their paper “Forking the RANDAO: Manipulating Ethereum's Distributed Randomness Beacon” at the 32nd ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS), held in Taipei in October 2025. Their work investigated vulnerabilities in the Ethereum blockchain, highlighting weaknesses in its random number generator.
