CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Higher Education Academic Scholarship Support

The Department of Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence (TMIT) at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in cooperation with the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), announces a call for applications for full-time BSc students in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (VIK).

Application requirements:

  • At least two successfully completed active semesters (Proof: transcript printout from Neptun covering the last two completed semesters)
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic performance (Proof: transcript printout from Neptun covering the last two completed semesters)
  • Valid student status for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year (Proof: student status certificate issued by the Registrar’s Office)

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Language Skills:

  • Intermediate or advanced English language certificate  (Proof: copy of the language certificate(s))

2.Specialization:

  • TMIT major or minor specialization (Proof: confirmation printed from Neptun)

3.Thesis Topic:

  • Selection of a thesis topic in the field of infocommunications at NMHH, with an external supervisor provided by the Authority.

4.Professional Activities:

  • Submission of a professional report on the applicant’s additional academic or professional activities (e.g. TDK research, participation in case study competitions, involvement in departmental teaching or research, participation in other competitions, etc.) (Proof: professional report)
  • Completion of the compulsory professional internship at NMHH.

Scholarship Details:

  • Amount: HUF 40,000 per month

  • Application Deadline: February 17, 2026

  • Expected Decision Date: February 26, 2026

  • Duration of Scholarship: One semester
