The specialization focuses on the communication networks and systems required to provide multimedia applications and services, and the technologies and platforms that support service delivery. Those who complete this specialization will gain in-depth knowledge of advanced media communication and management technologies and the ability to design, implement, and operate media communication services and media information systems on next-generation networks, particularly wireless and mobile networks, and the Internet. The most important topics to acquaint students with lectures, exercises, laboratory measurements, largely based on independent work are: modern mobile and wireless network systems, modern media technology procedures and techniques, digital broadcasting systems, IP-based and Internet media transmission and consumption, service delivery platforms, content delivery networks, media content management systems.
