Besides the need detected among Hungarian companies and governmental organizations for the program, there is an increasing call for experts with MSc in Analytical Business Intelligence by multinational companies. These companies which are based overseas have not yet established any European education center which could meet their need for highly skilled human resources to support their regional operations.

For example, SAS (Statistical Analysis System) company is the major supplier of new generation business intelligence products worldwide. It has a US based education center in North Carolina State University, where an Advanced Institute for Analytics has been established. Due to the cooperation between SAS and BME a similar agreement may be signed between the two institutions. Another request for English program comes from Morgan Stanley which has R&D centers for analytics and IT in Budapest with international staff. As a result the company would welcome studies in English in the related fields.

The presence of these needs has prompted the faculty to introduce at least one track of the program in English. The choice fell on business analytics, as this track may serve the most immediate requisites. Furthermore, completing the program in English would certainly increase the career opportunities of the Hungarian students, as well.
